Ghirardelli Square is a historical landmark and shopping area in San Francisco. While its pedigree is unquestioned, Ghirardelli needed a brand refresh. The new identity reflects growth and the addition of green space in the square. The website helped bring awareness to the businesses in the square as well as telling the Ghirardelli Square story. Posters on buses and around town announced their more popular events. Chocolate! The new “Savour Your Day” tagline invites people to spend the day at the square.

Gia is a line of clothes that formerly sold mainly in California. Upon expanding production to reach a national market, Gia needed an identity that would cross over from craft to fashion. This playful solution reflects Gia's imaginative and unexpected clothing creations.

John Velasquez has been styling hair for many years on historic Jackson Street. This identity incorporates a flourish that becomes a beautifully curled strand of hair. The design integrates well with the salon’s location—a street lined with high-end antique stores and buildings displaying classical architectural details.
